owwwww...

I'm broken! Time for a refund or exchange of parts, yes? Should have bought that warranty...

Hehe only kidding but I am in super amounts of pain. To explain why I must first get through a sea of goodness.. which is rather nice, don't you think?

Ok so if I haven't like announced it in the past few weeks, I am choreographing at my new school for the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory play. The oompa loompas (yes, thats right.. from loompaland, remember them??) have several (4) dance sequences. Veruca Salt, Augustus Gloop, Mike TV (Teavee I believe), and Violet Bouregard. In addition, as this is the exact Role Dahl version (hence Charlie...Factory and not Willy Wonka...Factory - Gene Wilder version) so there are many other additional or completely different aspects. One of these is something called the rainforest dance, where a few slightly different/more graceful and fairy-like oompa loompas (myself and three other dancers) perform a sort of tribal ballet dance (think modern/lyrical) while willy wonka tells the story of where they came from and how he saved them. This is amazing, and if you know how bummed I was that I couldn't be part of the play because of my seventh hour, then I bet you can guess how happy I am to be performing in it after all. The choreographing is a BLAST too. I am working with Paige - a girl at the school who is also in both APAC (drama) and Modazz (dance.. all these acronyms lol. oh and if I ever forget again, a PALENDROME is a word or number that is read the same way forward/backward. i.e. racecar)and so far we choreographed Augustus' segment for the oompa loompas (to a remix of the Mario theme song!) and the rainforest dance (to an awesome electronica song I got - thanks to Sir Zachary). So yes, life is good.. for the most part. The reason I am in pain, however..

Is that for one part of the Rainforest Dance we all do the splits on our right side, which I can do by the way. Now for some reason I did them weirdly once throughout the rehearsal (one time! just once! in 2 hrs and 15 mins!) and that one time alone pestered me throughout the rest of rehearsal, to the parking lot on the other side of campus on the way home, at the book store, at the supermarket, and along the pathway and up the stairs to my house. Yeah, I know. It seriously went like POP, which is nooot a sound one's leg should make. I let out a yelp at the time but kept going because I'm dumb like that, then finally got ice like 30 mins later. Afterward we kept dancing (sans splits for me, I was like ooh slide down and keep knee up in the air lol) and when I was trying to walk away once we were finished I was all pathetically sad and gimpy. Ugh I'm a cripple... for now at least. Hopefully it will be better by Monday (??).

Anyway, I had fun at the bookstore here, Changing Hands, which is fantastic.. and had to once again resist the urge to take them allll in a manic book obsessed state. Instead I traded in several of my old books for store credit and lurked around the shop. There is a great Wholewheat bread/pasta/soup cafe nextdoor called Wildflower - I love this place.

Also, an advantage of being paralyzed is that I got to just chill and watch a movie: Finding Neverland. It was amazingly amazing in the best way possible. I reccomend it to anyone especially if you are familiar with/love Big Fish, Where the Wild Things Are, or Peter Pan. Wonderful movie.

Alright Gute Nacht, I'm going to putter around for a few hours more and then hopefully sleep...
